• Recently, the newly elected Andhra Pradesh TDP Government has announced a beneficiary scheme, called the 'Chandranna Bima Scheme'.
• Under this scheme, the government aims to offer insurance benefits to unorganized workers of the state.
• According to the Chandranna Bima Scheme, the beneficiary will receive coverage in case of natural or accidental death.
• Under the natural death case, the beneficiary's nominee will receive a sum of Rs 5,00,000/-
• Whereas, in case of accidental death, the nominee appointed by the beneficiary will receive a sum of Rs 10,00,000/-
• The main objective of the scheme is to provide financial support to the families and wards of unorganized workers in case of this death.
• As you know, TDP and its coalition announced this scheme during the state assembly election and it was a part of their election manifesto.
• After forming the government, the TDP plans to implement this scheme in coming months.

Benefits of Scheme

• Beneficiary will receive the following benefits under the Andhra Pradesh Chandranna Bima: -
  • Insurance facilities will be provided to all beneficiaries.
  • It will provide a cover of Rs 5,00,000/- in case of natural death of the beneficiary.

Eligibility Criteria
