Uttar Pradesh Free Gas Cylinder Scheme

Introduction

• Uttar Pradesh Government promised to provide Free of Cost Gas Cylinder to Women of Uttar Pradesh in its Lok Kalyan Sankalp Patra.
• Now the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Sh. Yogi Adityanath Ji announced to implement the Free Gas Cylinder Scheme in whole of State.
• The name of Scheme will be "Uttar Pradesh Free Gas Cylinder Scheme".
• This scheme is going to be known by some other major names after its implementation i.e "Uttar Pradesh Nishulk Gas Cylinder Yojana" or "Uttar Pradesh Free Gas Cylinder Refill Scheme" or "Uttar Pradesh Free Cylinder Scheme" or "Uttar Pradesh Nishulk Gas Cylinder Subsidy Scheme" or "Uttar Pradesh 2 Free LPG Cylinder Scheme".
• Under this scheme, the women of Uttar Pradesh will now get free of cost cylinder 2 times in a year.
• Free of Cost Refilling of Gas Cylinder will be provided only at the time of two main festival i.e. Holi and Deewali.
• Benefits of 2 Free of Cost Gas Cylinder per Year will be provided only to the women beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana.
• This means that those women who are not registered under Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana are not eligible to avail the benefit of Free of Cost Refilling of Gas Cylinder under Uttar Pradesh Free Gas Cylinder Scheme.
• It is to be estimated that 1 Crore 75 Lakh families is to be benefited under Free Gas Cylinder Scheme of Uttar Pradesh Government.
• There is no need to apply separately in order to avail the benefit of 2 Free of Cost Gas Cylinder under Uttar Pradesh Free Gas Cylinder Scheme.
• Women Beneficiary has to purchase the Gas Cylinder on its real price on the ocassion of Deepawali or Holi.
• Then the Subsidy of Free Gas Cylinder Scheme of Uttar Pradesh Government will transferred in the bank account of women beneficiary within 5 days.
• So, No Registration for Uttar Pradesh Free Gas Cylinder Scheme is required.

Benefits of Scheme

• Benefits provided to Women Beneficiaries of Uttar Pradesh under Free Gas Cylinder Scheme are as follows :-
  • Free of Cost Refill of Gas Cylinder.
  • Benefits of 2 Gas Cylinder Refill Free of Cost.
  • Beneficiaries can avail the benefit of Free Gas Cylinder Refill on Holi or Deewali Festival.

Eligibility

• Following Women Beneficiaries are eligible to get 2 free of cost gas cylinder refill per year under Free Gas Cylinder Scheme of Government of Uttar Pradesh :-
  • Women of Uttar Pradesh.
  • Women Beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana.

How to Apply

• There is no need to apply separately for Uttar Pradesh Free Gas Cylinder Scheme.
• Women Beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana are automatically eligible to get free of cost 2 gas cylinders under Uttar Pradesh Free Gas Cylinder Scheme.
• Women Beneficiary has to purchase the Gas Cylinder on its actual price on the ocassion of Deewali or Holi Festival.
• Then after 5 Days, the subsidy amount as promised by Uttar Pradesh Government under Free Gas Cylinder Scheme will be transferred in the bank account of Women Beneficiary.
• Beneficiary Women can avail the benefit of Free of Cost Refill of Gas Cylinder 2 times in a year.
• Women Beneficiary can also contact their Gas Agency in case of any confusion regarding Free Gas Cylinder Scheme of Uttar Pradesh Government.
