Introduction

• Income of most the people in Himachal Pradesh is directly depend on their mode of occupation.
• Some people are small shopkeepers and some are small businessmen who runs their business in State.
• They are not that much financially sound and not able to invest money in their business to grow it more.
• Keeping this things in mind for these people, Government of Himachal Pradesh makes a major announcement in their 2023-2024 budget.
• A new scheme called "Mukhyamantri Laghu Dukandaar Kalyan Yojana" will going to be launched in Himachal Pradesh.
• The main objective behind launching Himachal Pradesh Mukhyamantri Laghu Dukandaar Kalyan Yojana is to encourage small shopkeepers and businessmen to invest in their business by taking loan.
• This scheme is also known by other name like "Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Small Shopkeeper Welfare Scheme".
• Department of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj of Himachal Pradesh Government is the nodal department of this scheme.
• Under this scheme, Himachal Pradesh Government will provide subsidy on the interest of loan.
• 50% Subsidy on the Interest of Loan up to Rs. 50,000/- will be provided to all eligible small shopkeepers and businessmen.
• This means that if shopkeepers or businessmen will take loan up to the amount of Rs. 50,000/-, then 50% of chargeable interest will be paid by Government of Himachal Pradesh.
• Remaining 50% of Interest will have to be paid by the beneficiary himself.
• 75,000/- beneficiaries will get the benefit in the initial phase of Himachal Pradesh Mukhyamantri Laghu Dukandaar Kalyan Yojana.
• The below mentioned small businessmen or shopkeepers are eligible to get subsidy on interest under this scheme :-
  • Barber.
  • Tailor.
  • Street Vendor.
  • Owner of Tea Stall.
  • Owner of Kirana Shop.
  • Any Other Small Shopkeeper or Businessmen.
• This scheme will be implemented in the Himachal Pradesh with the help of financial institutions.
• Eligible Beneficiary can avail the benefit of this scheme by filling the Application Form of Himachal Pradesh Mukhyamantri Laghu Dukandaar Kalyana Yojana which is available at any of the following mentioned offices :-
  • Gram Panchayat.
  • Gram Sabha.
  • Panchayati Raj Department District Office.

Benefits of Scheme

• Benefits provided under Himachal Pradesh Mukhyamantri Laghu Dukandaar Kalyan Yojana are :-
  • Subsidy on Interest will be provided up to Loan of Rs. 50,000/-.
  • Himachal Pradesh Government will pay the 50% Amount of Interest on Loan.
  • Remaining 50% will be borne by the Applicant.

Eligibility

• Applicant should be a Permanent Resident of Himachal Pradesh.
• Applicant should be a Small Shopkeeper or Small Businessmen.
• Applicant should belong to any of the following Occupation :-
  • Tailor.
  • Barber.
  • Tea Stall Owner.
  • Street Vendor.
  • Kirana Shop Owner.
  • Any Other Small Business Owner.

Documents Required

• The following documents will be required at the time of applying for Interest Subsidy under Mukhyamantri Laghu Dukandaar Kalyan Yojana are :-
  • Domicile/ Residence Proof of Himachal Pradesh.
  • Aadhar Card.
  • Bank Account Details.
  • Mobile Number.
  • Passport Size Photo.
  • Caste Certificate. (If Applicable)
  • Income Certificate.
  • Documents Related to Occupation.

How to Apply

• Eligible Beneficiary can apply for Himachal Pradesh Mukhyamantri Laghu Dukandaar Kalyan Yojana through Application Form.
• Application Form of Himachal Pradesh Mukhyamantri Laghu Dukandaar Kalyan Yojana is available at any of the following offices :-
  • Gram Sabha Office.
  • Gram Panchayat Office.
  • District Office of Department of Panchayati Raj.
• Fill the Application Form of Mukhyamantri Laghu Dukandaar Kalyan Yojana.
• Attach all the needed documents with the application form.
• Now, Submit the Application Form along with all the documents in the same office.
• Officials of Department of Panchayati Raj of Himachal Pradesh Government will scrutinized the received applications.
• After Verification, the payment of 50% interest subsidy under Himachal Pradesh Mukhyamantri Laghu Dukandaar Kalyan Yojana will be paid as per the norms.
