About The Scheme

• A scheme to provide financial assistance to the young women for setting up gainful self-employment ventures.
• Mission Youth (MY), J&K. is the nodal department of this scheme.
• No criteria regarding income of the family would be considered for the eligibility under this scheme.
• The objective of the Tejaswani - The Radiant Scheme scheme is :-
  • To empower and encourage women for income generation for activities either in manufacturing/ service/ trading/ small business etc.
  • To facilitate soft finance for setting up new unit / enterprise or for expansion / modernization of existing Unit.
  • To meet working capital needs for purchase of various products /equipment/tools etc.
• The following benefits are provided under the scheme:-
  • A financial assistance of Rs. 5 lakh under Mudra loan from J&K Bank.
  • Re-payment of Financial Assistance provided under this scheme shall be interest free.
  • Mission Youth, J&K shall provide an amount of Rs. 50,000 or 10% of project cost.
  • Interest subsidy up to Rs 0.60 lakh per beneficiary shall be provided by Mission Youth, J&K.
• The following persons will be eligible under the Tejaswani - The Radiant Scheme:-
  • Domicile of J&K, essentially registered with Mission Youth, J&K.
  • Women between the age of 18 to 35 years.
  • Having a qualification of 10th standard or above.
• Eligible Persons Can Avail the benefits of Tejaswani - The Radiant Scheme by applying in the following manner:-
  • Through Online Mission Youth (MY) Portal.

Benefits

• The following benefits are provided under the scheme:-
  • A financial assistance of Rs. 5 lakh under Mudra loan from J&K Bank.
  • Re-payment of Financial Assistance provided under this scheme shall be interest free.
  • Mission Youth, J&K shall provide an amount of Rs. 50,000 or 10% of project cost.
  • Interest subsidy up to Rs 0.60 lakh per beneficiary shall be provided by Mission Youth, J&K.

Eligibility

• The following persons will be eligible under the Tejaswani - The Radiant Scheme:-
  • Domicile of J&K, essentially registered with Mission Youth, J&K.
  • Women entrepreneurs hold not less than 50% of financial holding.
  • Trained in Rural Self Employment Training Institutes (R-SETIs)/ Skill Development Institutions etc.
  • Should not be a defaulter to any Bank /Financial Institution.
  • Women between the age of 18 to 35 years.
  • Having a qualification of 10th standard or above.
  • Must be unemployed and registered with the concerned District Employment & Counseling Center.
  • One woman can seek the assistance under this scheme only once.

Documents Required

• Domicile Certificate/ Ration Card.
• Aadhaar Card.
• Date of Birth Certificate.
• Matriculation Certificate.
• Unemployment certificate.
• Project repot of the activity intended to be financed.

Application Process

• To get financial assistance under the Tejaswani - The Radiant Scheme, the candidate has to first go to Mission Youth Portal.
• First of all, the applicant has to Register himself/herself on the J&K Mission Youth Portal.
• After registration, the applicant will have to login to the portal with the given login ID and password.
• On Portal Select Scheme Option. Now Select “Tejaswani - The Radiant” and click on Apply Now.
• An online form opens up. Fill the basic details and upload the required documents as required.
• After filling all the information, the application form has to be submitted.
• After the application is submitted, the application form will be verified by the concerned officer.
• After the approval of the application form, the amount will be transferred to the applicant's bank account.

Important Points

• The amount of self assistance provided by Mission Youth (MY) has to be compulsorily utilized for self employment generation only.
• If the total project cost of the self employment unit to be set up by the beneficiary exceeds Rs 5.00 lakh, the amount over and above
  shall have to be self financed by the applicant.
• The interest subsidy, however, shall be provided only on production of necessary documents.
  (including Bank statement/ Income Tax statement/ certificate by DLIC) testifying the sustainability of the activity.
• The applicant will submit an affidavit to the effect that applicant will continue the trade for a period not less than 5 years or till the liquidation of loan amount in full, whichever is later.
