Central Sector Scholarship Scheme Of Top Class Education For SC Students

Introduction

• Central Sector Scholarship Scheme of Top Class Education for SC students was approved in the year 2007.
• This scheme is fully funded and administered by Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment of Indian Government.
• The main objective behind starting this scheme is to promote quality education among Schedule Caste Students of India.
• This scheme is also called by other name like "Top Class Education Scheme for SC Students" or "Top Class Scholarship Scheme for SC Students".
• All Schedule Caste Students who secure admission after Class 12th in Central Government or Prestigious Private Educational Institutions will get Scholarship under this scheme.
• Full Tuition Fees and Non Refundable Charges will be paid by the Indian Government if student of SC category secured the admission in Central Government Education Institution.
• Whereas, Rs. 2,00,000/- per Tuition Fees will be paid to those SC Students who secure admission in Notified Private Educational Institutions.
• Apart from that, Academic Allowance of Rs. 86,000/- for the 1st Year of Study will also provided under Top Class Education Scholarship Scheme for SC Students.
• For remaining years of study, the academic allowance per year will be Rs. 46,000/-.
• Scholarship will be provided to those students who secure admission in IIMs/ IITs/ IIITs / AIIMSs/ NITs/ NIFTs/ NIDs/ Indian Institutes of Hotel Management, National Law Universities and other Central Government Institutions.

• This Scheme will only ope-rationalise till 2025-2026.
• Only First Year Students are eligible to apply for Scholarship under Top Class Education Scheme for Schedule Caste Students.
• The last date to apply for Top Class Education Scholarship Scheme for SC Students is 31-12-2023.
• Eligible Students can apply for scholarship for the year 2023-2024 on or before 31-12-2023 by filling Online Application Form.
• Top Class Education Scholarship Scheme for SC Students Online Application Form is available on National Scholarship Portal.

Benefits of Scheme

• The below mentioned benefits will be provided to all selected Schedule Caste Students under Central Sector Scholarship Scheme of Top Class Education for SC Students :-
  • Full Tuition Fees and Non Refundable Charges will be Paid by the Government.
  • Rs. 2,00,000/- per Year Tuition Fees to Students who Study in Notified Private Institution.
  • Rs. 86,000/- Academic Allowance for 1st Years.
  • Rs. 41,000/- Academic Allowance for Remaining Year of Course.

Number of Scholarship Seats

• Following are the year wise number of seats available for scholarship under Top Class Education Scheme for Schedule Caste Students :-

  2025-2026	1900.

Eligibility Criteria

• Student should be belong to Schedule Caste (SC) Category.
• The Annual Income of Student Family should not be more than Rs. 8,00,000/-.
• Student should have Secured Admission in any Notified Institution in Full Time Course.
• Scholarship will only provided to 1st Year Student.
• 2 Siblings per Family can avail the benefits of Scholarship.
• Preference will be given to students with Lower Family Income if they secure same marks in Merit List.

• The following documents is needed at the time of applying for Scholarship under Central Sector Scholarship Scheme of Top Class Education for SC Students :-
  • Schedule Caste Certificate.
  • Income Certificate:
  • Aadhar Card.
  • Bank Account Details.
  • Domicile of Respective State.
  • College Admission Proof.

How To Apply

• Eligible Schedule Caste Students can apply for Central Sector Top Class Education Scheme by filling Online Application Form.
• Online Application Form of Top Class Education Scholarship Scheme for SC Students is available on National Scholarship Portal.
• Visit National Scholarship Portal and Register yourself first.
• Mobile Number is mandatory for Registration.
• After Registration, National Scholarship Portal will send the User ID and Password on Applicants Mobile Phone.
• Login on the Portal Again and Choose Central Sector Scholarship Scheme of Top Class Education for SC Students.
• Fill the basic details like Personal Details, Contact Details and Bank Account Details.
• Upload all the required documents.
• Preview the Application Form carefully and then Click on Submit Button to Submit it.
• Take a Print Out of Application Form for future reference.
• Application Form of Top Class Education Scholarship Scheme for SC Students will verified by the concerned officials.
• Merit List of Selected Students for Scholarship will be prepared by the officials.
• Students can check there name in the Merit List which will be uploaded on the Official Portal of Central Sector Scholarship Scheme of Top Class Education for SC Students.
• National Scholarship Portal is open till 31-12-2023 for 2023-2024 Applications.
• Eligible Students can apply for Top Class Education Scholarship Scheme for SC Students on or before 31st of December 2023.
