Maharashtra Mukhyamantri Annapurna Yojana

Introduction

• Government of Maharashtra announced lots of welfare scheme while presenting the supplementary budget of the year 2024.
• With an objective to provide clean fuel and to reduce health issues of women, a new scheme is announced by the government.
• The name of scheme is "Mukhyamantri Annapurna Yojana".
• It is now implemented in whole of Maharashtra.
• After implementation, this scheme is know by some other names also such as "Maharashtra Chief Minister Annapurna Scheme" or "Maharashtra Mukhyamantri Annapurna Scheme" or "Maharashtra Chief Minister Annapurna Yojana".
• Department of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection is the nodal department of this scheme.
• Now every household will get free of cost gas cylinder so that they can afford a LPG connection and switch their cooking method to clean fuel.
• 3 Gas Cylinders per year will be provided free of cost to all eligible beneficiaries under Mukhyamantri Annapurna Yojana of Maharashtra Government.
• Mukhyamantri Annapurna Yojana benefit will only be provided to those women beneficiaries who has PM Ujjwala Yojana Gas Connection in her name.
• However, Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Scheme Women Beneficiary can also avail the benefit of 3 free of cost refill of gas cylinder under Mukhyamantri Annapurna Yojana.
• Beneficiaries can only refill one gas cylinder per month under this scheme.
• Mukhyamantri Annapurna Yojana is a subsidy scheme in which beneficiary women first have to purchase the gas cylinder on its original price.
• Then Maharashtra Government reimburse the subsidy amount of gas cylinder to oil companies then the oil companies will transfer that subsidy in the bank account of women beneficiary.
• Subsidy will only provided on Domestic Gas Cylinder of 14.2 Kg, No Subsidy will be provided on Commercial Gas Cylinders.
• Subsidy Distribution Procedure of Mukhyamantri Annapurna Yojana is different for both the scheme beneficiaries.
• Majhi Ladki Bahin Scheme Women beneficiary will receive the full original price of LPG Cylinder as a subsidy.
• Whereas, Beneficiary of PM Ujjwala Yojana will receive the subsidy after deducting the subsidy provided by centre on the purchase of gas cylinder.
• It is to be estimated that around 52,16,412 families of Maharashtra will get the benefits of Mukhyamantri Annapurna Yojana.
• There is no need to apply for Mukhyamantri Annapurna Yojana in order to get 3 free of cost gas cylinder in a year.
• Both scheme beneficiaries are automically eligible to avail the benefit of Mukhyamantri Annapurna Scheme.

Benefits of Scheme

• Maharashtra Government will provide the following benefits to eligible women beneficiaries under Mukhyamantri Annapurna Yojana :-
  • Free of Cost Gas Cylinder will be Provided.
  • Refill of 3 Gas Cylinder per Year wil be Provided free of cost.

Distribution of Subsidy under Annapurna Yojana

• Reimbursement of price of LPG Cylinder to both scheme women beneficiary under Mukhyamantri Annapurna Yojana of Maharashtra Government will be distributed as follows :-

For PM Ujjwala Yojana Beneficiary

• Presently the market price of LPG Cylinder for Pradhanmantri Ujjwala Scheme beneficiaries is Rs. 830/-.
• Women Beneficiary will have to purchase the LPG Cylinder of 14.2 Kg on the original price.
• Central Government will reimburse Rs. 300/- in the bank account of beneficiary.
• Remaining Rs. 530/- will transferred by Maharashtra Government in the bank account of Oil Companies.
• Oil Companies will then transfer this subsidy amount of Mukhyamantri Annapurna Yojana in the bank account of women.
• Subsidy can be availed on 1 cylinder per month and a total of 3 cylinder in a year.
  

For Majhi Ladki Bahin Scheme Beneficiary

• Majhi Ladki Bahin Scheme Women Beneficiaries will also have to purchase the LPG Cylinder from oil companies on its actual price.
• Oil Companies will forward the list of beneficiaries to committee which will formed to regulate the implementation of scheme.
• Committee will check the list of beneficiaries and send the final approved list to finance department for payment.
• Concerned Department of Maharashtra Government will then directly transfer the actual price of LPG Cylinder in the bank account of Majhi Ladki Bahin Scheme Women Beneficiary.
  

Eligibility Criteria

• Free of cost 3 gas cylinders per year will only be provided to those women beneficiaries who fulfill the following eligibility conditions of Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana :-
  • Beneficiary should be a Permanent Resident of Maharashtra.
  • Beneficiary should have PM Ujjwala Scheme Gas Connection.
  • Gas Connection should be in the name of Women Beneficiary.
  • Women Beneficiaries of Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana are also Eligible for Free Gas Cylinders.
  • Benefits will only provided on 14.2 Domestic LPG Cylinder.
  • One Person per Family per Ration Card are Eligible.

• The following documents is to be needed at the time of availing the benefit of free of cost refilling of LPG Cylinder per year Mukhyamantri Annapurna Yojana :-
  • Residence Proof of Maharashtra.
  • Aadhar Card.
  • Ration Card.
  • Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana Application Number.
  • Mobile Number.
  • Passport Size Photo.
  • PM Ujjwala Yojana Gas Passbook Copy.

How to Apply

• Sh. Ajit Pawar, the Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister of Maharashtra presents the supplementary budget on 28th of June 2024.
• Now, Government of Maharashtra released the Official Guidelines of Mukhyamantri Annapurna Yojana.
• According to guidelines, Beneficiaries of PM Ujjwala Yojana and Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana doesn't have any need to apply separately in order to get 3 LPG Cylinders per year.
• Beneficiary Women of these two schemes are automatically eligible to get the benefit of Mukhyamantri Annapurna Yojana.
• No Need to fill Mukhyamantri Annapurna Yojana Online Application Form or Offline Application Form.
• Also there is no Official Website of Mukhyamantri Annapurna Yojana is available.
• Beneficiary Women will have to purchase LPG Cylinder on its actual price then Maharashtra Government will refund the price through DBT mode in the bank account of beneficiary.
