Scheme Introduction: A Brief Overview

• Gujarat Government is well known for its welfare scheme for the students.
• Government provide every assistance to students whether it is in the form of monetary or in the form of subsidy.
• One of the major welfare scheme started by the Gujarat Government is NAMO E-Tablet Scheme.
• The main objective behind launching this scheme is to encourage students to be a part of technological education and make themselves used to.
• Department of Education of Gujarat Government is the nodal department of this scheme.
• Knowledge Consortium of Gujarat is the implementing agency of this scheme.
• This scheme also known as Gujarat Free Tablet Scheme.
• Under NAMO E-Tablet Scheme, Government of Gujarat will provide Tablets to eligible students on a nominal amount of Rs. 1,000/-.
• Students studying in First Year of Graduation Course in any Government recognized Educational Insititution are eligible to apply for Tablet underNAMO E-Tablet Scheme.
• Polytechnic Students are also eligible to apply for tablet.
• Tablets provided to students are pre loaded with educational content.
• Educational Content in Tablets include the below mentioned educational material :-
  • E Textbooks.
  • Recorded Video Lectures.
  • E Books.
  • And Many More Learning Material..
• The Annual Family Income of Student should be below 1,00,000/-.
• Tablet provided under NAMO E-Tablet is not fulll free of cost, Students have to pay Rs. 1,000/- for this.
• The actual price of the tablet is around Rs. 8,000/- to 9,000/- and the brand of tablet is lenovo or acer.
• Eligible Students can apply for tablet under NAMO E-Tablet Scheme by submitting Application Form in their respective college or university.

• The following benefits will be provided to Students of Gujarat under Namo E-Tablet Scheme :-
  • Tablets will be given to Selected Students.
  • Students only has to pay Rs. 1,000/- for the Tablet.

Eligibility Requirements

• Permanent Residents of Gujarat.
• Applicant should be a Student.
• Applicant should be in 1st Year of College.
• The Annual Income of Student should be below Rs. 1,00,000/-.
• Polytechnic Course Student are also eligible to apply.

• Domicile of Gujarat.
• Aadhar Card.
• 12th Class Marksheet.
• 12th Class Certificate.
• Caste Certificate.
• Income Certificate.
• College Admission Proof.

Application Process of NAMO E-Tablet Scheme

Steps to Apply

• The only way to apply for Tablet under NAMO E-Tablet Scheme is by submitting Application Form in the College or Univesity in which student is studying.
• Take an Application Form from the Administration Department of College or University.
• Fill the Application Form correctly and attach all the required documents.
• Deposit Rs. 1,000/- with the application form and take a receipt of the same.
• Submit the application form along with all the required documents in the office.
• College Officials then upload the details of the received application on the Digital Gujarat Portal.
• Received Application will be verified by Knowledge Consortium Officials.
• Tablets will be distributed to selected students in their respective college or university.
