Scheme Introduction

• Gujarat Government's Finance Minister Sh. Kanubhai Desai presents the budget of 2024-2025 in the assembly on 02-02-2024.
• He announced to start 3 new welfare schemes in Gujarat from upcoming financial year.
• One of the Scheme which is going to implement in Gujarat is Namo Lakshmi Yojana.
• This scheme announced with a vision to provide benefit to adolescent girl students of Gujarat.
• Namo Lakshmi Yojana is going to be the major welfare scheme in Gujarat for the girl students.
• Namo Lakshmi Yojana will going to be known by some other major names in the Gujarat after implementation which are mentioned below :-
  • "Namo Laxmi Yojana".
  • "Namo Laxmi Scheme".
  • "Namo Lakshmi Scheme".
  • "નમો લક્ષ્મી યોજના".
• The main objective of Gujarat Government behind starting Namo Lakshmi Yojana is to reduce the dropouts of girls students from schools, to increase the enrolment of girls more and more in schools and to improve the nutritional and health status of girls students.
• Gujarat Government's Education Department is the nodal department of this scheme.
• Financial Assistance per year as a yearly scholarship will be provided to all girl students studying in Class 9th to Class 12th under Namo Lakshmi Scheme.
• Namo Lakshmi Yojana Scholarship will be provided to only those Girl Students who are currently studying in Class 9th, 10th, 11th or in Class 12th.
• Rs. 50,000/- in 4 years i.e. from Class 9th to Class 12th will be provided to all eligible girl students under Namo Lakshmi Yojana.
• Scholarship/ Financial Assistance of Rs. 10,000/- per year will be provided in Class 9th and Class 10th.
• Similarly, Financial Assistance of Rs. 15,000/- per year will be provided in Class 11th and Class 12th.
• In total, Rs. 50,000/- scholarship amount from Class 9th to Class 12th will be provided to girls students under Namo Laxmi Yojana.
• Financial Assistance Distribution Criteria under Namo Lakshmi Yojana as per official guidelines are as follows :-
  • Rs. 500/- per Month for 10 months in Class 9th. (Total Rs. 5,000/-)
  • Rs. 500/- per Month for 10 months in Class 10th. (Total Rs. 5,000/-)
  • Rs. 10,000/- after Girl Student Passed Class 10th Board Examination.
  • Rs. 750/- per Month for 10 months in Class 11th.(Total Rs. 7,500/-)
  • Rs. 750/- per Month for 10 months in Class 12th. (Total Rs. 7,500/-)
  • Rs. 15,000/- after Girl Student passed Class 12th Board Examination.
• All Girls Students studying in Class 9th to Class 12th in any Government or Private School are eligible to avail the benefit of Government of Gujarat's Namo Lakshmi Scheme.
• Gujarat Government alott the budget of Rs. 1,250/- Crore for the year 2024-2025 for better implementation of Gujarat Namo Lakshmi Yojana.
• It is to be estimated that more than 10 lakh girl students is going to be benefited financially through Namo Lakshmi Scheme.
• Application Process of Namo Lakshmi Yojana is very simple in which School Administration will itself fill the application form for eligible girl students.
• Beneficiary Girl Student can contact their school administration in case of help or any information needed for Namo Lakshmi Scheme.

Scheme Benefits

• The following financial assistance as a per year scholarship under Namo Lakshmi Yojana of Gujarat Government will be provided to all eligible girl students according to her class of studying :-

  Class	Scholarship Amount (Per Year)
  9th	Rs. 10,000/-
  10th	Rs. 10,000/-
  11th	Rs. 15,000/-
  12th	Rs. 15,000/-
  Total	Rs. 50,000/- (From 9th to 12th)

Eligibility Requirements

• Per Year Scholarship under Namo Lakshmi Yojana will be provided to only those girls beneficiaries who fulfil the following eligibility conditions set by Gujarat Government :-

  Only Girl Students are Eligible to Apply. Family Annual Income of Beneficiary Girl should not be more than Rs. 6,00,000/- per year. Beneficiary Girl Student should be Studying in any of the following class :- Class 9th. Class 10th. Class 11th. Class 12th. Beneficiary Girl should currently studying in any of the following schools :- Government School. Non- Government Aided School. Private School.

Required Documents

• Documents that are required at the time of applying for scholarship/ financial assistance under Namo Lakshmi Yojana of Gujarat Government are mentioned below :-
  • Aadhar Card.
  • Mobile Number.
  • Bank Account Details.
  • Education Related Documents.
  • Parent's Aadhar Card.

Steps to Apply

• Eligible Girl Students does not have to apply for Namo Lakshmi Yojana of Gujarat Government by herself.
• Respective Schools of Girl Students in which they are currently studying can enrol the eligible girl beneficiaries.
• Girl Beneficiary or her parents should have to submitted all the details like Bank Account Number, Aadhar Card etc. to nodal officer of their school.
• Nodal Officer of School will make the list of all eligible girl students who are entitle to get the benefit financial assistance under Namo Lakshmi Yojana.
• Then the nodal officer enter the details of girl students by filling the Online Application Form of Namo Lakshmi Yojana.
• List of Girl Students beneficiaries then forwarded to Education Department for further verification.
• Selected Girl Students of Namo Lakshmi Yojana will be notified through SMS or Email on their mobile phone.
• Monthly Financial Assistance as a scholarship will then transferred in the bank account of Girl Students beneficiaries every month.
• Right now, No Official Website of Namo Lakshmi Yojana is launched, it is to be expected that it will launch in coming day to check the Application Status of Namo Lakshmi Yojana.
• Application Form of Namo Lakshmi Yojana is available in the respective schools.
