West Bengal Khadya Sathi Scheme

Introduction

• West Bengal Khadya Sathi Scheme was launched in 27th January 2016 by Honourable Chief Minister Smt Mamata Banerjee.
• The scheme was launched with the vision of 'Food for All' i.e needy person of West Bengal will not be deprived from the access to food grains anymore.
• Department of Food & Supplies of West Bengal Government is the nodal department of Khadya Sathi Scheme.
• Under Khadya Sathi Scheme, Government of West Bengal will now provide food grains to all eligible people at very low prices.
• Prices on which West Bengal Government provide food grains under Khadya Sathi Scheme are as follows :-
  • Rice @ Rs. 2/- per Kg.
  • Wheat @ Rs. 2/- per Kg.
• Quantity of Food Grains will depend upon the Ration Card Category of Beneficiary.
• Every Ration Card Holders of West Bengal are eligible to get food grains on subsidised rated under Khadya Sathi Scheme of West Bengal Government.
• Beneficiary will have to enrol themselves under Khadya Sathi Scheme in order to avail the benefit of this scheme.
• Beneficiary can apply for Khadya Sathi Digital Card through Online Application Form and through Offline Application Form also.

Benefits of Scheme

• Beneficiary will get the Food Grains on below mentioned subsidised price :-

  Rice	Rs. 2/- per Kg
  Wheat	Rs. 2/- per Kg

• No Need of Carrying Physical Ration Card.
• Ration can now be lifted by showing an e-Ration Card on mobile or a copy of it printed on plain paper.
• Quantity of food grains will depend upon the beneficiary ration card category :-

Eligibility Criteria

• Beneficiary should be a Resident of West Bengal.
• Beneficiary should have a any of the below mentioned Ration Card :-
  • Antyodaya Anna Card.
  • Priority Household Ration Card.
  • Rajya Khadya Suraksha Yojana Card.

Documents Required

• The below mentioned documents is needed at the time of applying for Khadya Sathi Card under West Bengal Government's Khadya Sathi Scheme :-
  • Aadhaar Card.
  • Voter ID Card.
  • Address Proof.
  • Ration Card.
  • Birth Certificate of Applicants under the Age of 5 Years.

How to Apply

• Eligible Beneficiaries can apply for Khadya Sathi Scheme through two ways :-
  • Through Khadya Sathi Scheme Offline Application Form.
  • Through Khadya Sathi Scheme Online Application Form.

  Through Offline Application Form

  • Beneficiary can apply for Khadya Sathi Scheme of West Bengal Government through Offline Application Form.
  • Offline Application Form of West Bengal Khadya Sathi Scheme is available on Ration Shops.
  • Collect the Application Form of Khadya Sathi Scheme and fill it properly.
  • Attach all the required details with the application form.
  • Submit the West Bengal Khadya Sathi Scheme Offline Application Form along with all the documents in the same ration shop.
  • Concerned Officials of Department of Food and Supplies will verify the details of beneficiary.
  • Selected Beneficiary will get the Khadya Sathi Digital Card after verification.
  • Beneficiary can use this Khadya Sathi Digital Card on Ration Shop to avail the benefit of subsidised food grains.

  Through Online Application Form

  • Eligible Beneficiary can also apply for Khadya Sathi Scheme of Government of West Bengal through Online Application Form.
  • Online Application Form of West Bengal Khadya Sathi Scheme is available on Department of Food & Supplies Portal.
  • Click on Khadya Sathi Beneficiary Tab.
  • Choose New Applicant and Enter the Mobile Number.
  • Portal will then Verify the Mobile Number through OTP.
  • Now fill the Online Application Form of Khadya Sathi Scheme.
  • Upload all the required documents on the portal.
  • Preview the Application Form and Click on Submit Button to Submit it.
  • Department Officials will scrutinised the received Application Form.
  • Khadya Sathi Digital Card will be distributed among selected beneficiaries.
  • Beneficiary can visit the Ration Shop and use Khadya Sathi Digital Card to avail the benefit of subsidy on food grains.
