Himachal Pradesh Mukhyamantri Gyandeep Yojana

Introduction

• Mukhyamantri Gyandeep Yojana is a major education welfare scheme of Himachal Government.
• It was started on 1st April 2016.
• Himachal Pradesh's Directorate of Higher Education is the nodal department of this scheme.
• The main objective behind launching Himachal Pradesh Mukhyamantri Gyandeep Yojana is to provide educational loan to students so that they can complete their higher education.
• Students pursuing their higher education from Indian institute or from abroad are eligible to apply under this scheme.
• Students willing to study technical and professional courses are eligible to apply.
• Under Himachal Pradesh Mukhyamantri Gyandeep Yojana, an Educational Loan up to Rs. 20,00,000/- will provided to students.
• This is a collateral free loan.
• Interest subsidy of 4% per annum will be provided by the government to the students.
• Eligible Students can apply for Himachal Pradesh Mukhyamantri Gyandeep Scheme though ePASS Portal.

Eligibility Criteria

• Student should be a resident of Himachal Pradesh.
• Must have passed 12th Class.
• Student must willing to take admission in Technical and Professional Course.

Document Required

• Domicile of Himachal Pradesh.
• Caste Certificate.
• Aadhar Card.
• Income Certificate.
• 12th Mark Sheet.
• Admission Proof in Technical or Professional Course.

Amount of Assistance

• The following financial assistance as loan will be provided by the Government to the students :-
  • Collateral Free Loan up to Rs. 20,00,000/-.
  • Interest Subsidy of 4%.

How to Apply

• Students will apply through ePASS Portal for Himachal Pradesh Mukhyamantri Gyandeep Yojana.
• Students has to Register themselves first.
• After Registration, Login in the portal.
• Fill the personal details and after that the admission details.
• Upload the required documents.
• And submit the form.
• Application Form and Documents will be verified by the Department of Education Officials.
• Once verified the application will be sent to concerned bank for loan approval.
• After banks approval the loan amount will be provided to students in phases as prescribed by the government.
• Students can also Fill the form directly from the bank branch for Himachal Pradesh Mukhyamantri Grandeep Yojana.

Features of the Scheme

• Students want to study abroad can also apply for Mukhyamantri Gyandeep Yojana.
• Financial Assistance provided by the Government will be in the form of Interest Subsidy.
• Vidyarthi Credit Card will be issued to students under this scheme.
• Earlier the loan limit is Rs. 10,00,000/- in this scheme, but now government has increased the amount and extend it to Rs. 20,00,000/-.
• Students can also directly apply to any bank of their choice for educational loan under Mukhyamantri Gyandeep Yojana.
