Punjab Dependent Children Pension Scheme

Introduction

• Punjab Dependent Children Pension Scheme is the social welfare scheme of Punjab Government.
• The main objective behind launching Dependent Children Pension Scheme is to provide financial security cover to those childrens whose income is not stable due to non availability of his/ her father/ parents.
• This Scheme is implemented by Social Security and Women & Child Development Department of Punjab Government.
• This Scheme is also known as "Punjab Financial Assistance to Dependent Children Scheme".
• Eligible Beneficiary will get Monthly Pension of Rs, 1,500/- per Month.
• The amount of monthly pension will be provided by Punjab Government on Quarterly basis i.e Once in a 4 Month.
• Only those Children are eligible for Monthly Pension under Dependent Children Pension Scheme whose :-
  • Mother/ Father or Both the Parents are Passed Away.
  • Parents are disabled and not able to any type of physical work.
  • Parents are Regularly Unavailable at Home.
• The Age of Children should be below 21 Years.
• If beneficiary owns any of the below mentioned lands as per maximum limit then he/ she is also eligible for Punjab Dependent Children Pension Scheme :-
  • Maximum 2.5 Acre Land of Nehri/ Chahi OR,
  • Maximum 5 Acre Land of Barani OR,
  • Waterlogged Area Land of 5 Acre.
• The Annual Income of Parents/ Guardians should be below Rs 60,000/- per Year.
• Eligible Beneficiary can apply for monthly pension under Dependent Children Pension Scheme of Punjab Government through :-
  • Punjab Dependent Children Pension Scheme Online Application Form.
  • Punjab Dependent Children Pension Scheme Offline Application Form.

Benefits

• Following Financial Assistance as Monthly Pension will be provided under Punjab Dependent Children Pension Scheme :-
  • Monthly Pension of Rs. 1,500/- per Month.

Eligibility

• Applicant should be a Permanent Resident of Punjab.
• Annual Income of Parents/ Guardian should not be more than Rs. 60,000/- per Year.
• The Age of Child should be below 21 Years.
• Beneficiary should not have house having area of more than 200 Square Meter in Urban Area.
• If Beneficiary should own any of the below mentioned amount of land then he/ she are also eligible :-
  • Maximum 2.5 Acre of Nehri or Chahi Land OR,
  • Maximum 5 Acre of Barani Land OR,
  • Waterlogged 5 Acre of Land.
• Only those Children's are eligible who come under any of the following category :-
  • Whose Mother/ Father or Both Parents are Dead.
  • Whose Parents are Disabled and not able to do any type of work.
  • Who Parents are Regularly Absent from House.

Document Required

• Document that are required at the time of filling the Application Form of Punjab Dependent Children Pension Scheme are :-

  Residence Proof/ Domicile of Punjab. Self Declaration Form. Bank Account Details. Land Related Document/ Patwari Report (In Rural Area ) EOMC Property Verification. (In Urban Area) Group Photo with all Dependents. Following Document will be needed as per the Requirement :- Both Parent's Death Certificate (In Case of Both the Parents are Dead) Husband Death Certificate. (In Case of Death of Father of Child) . Disability Certificate. (If Father of a Child is Disabled) UDID Card. (In Case of Father of Child is Disabled) FIR of Missing Husband (If Father of Child is Missing) Divorced Certificate (If Mother of a Child is Divorcee) Any One Document Needed as a Residence Proof :- Driving License. Passport. Voter Identity Card. Aadhar Card. Any One of the Following Document for Proof of Age :- Aadhar Card. Voter ID Card. Birth Certificate. Matriculation Certificate.

Online Application Process

• Eligible Beneficiary can avail the benefit of monthly pension by filling the Online Application Form of Punjab Dependent Children Pension Scheme.
• Online Application Form of Punjab Dependent Children Pension Scheme is available on Punjab Government's Digital Punjab Portal.
• Beneficiary has to Register themselves first.
• Beneficiary has to fill the following details in the registration form :-
  • Name of Beneficiary.
  • Email ID.
  • Mobile Number.
  • Gender.
  • Password.
• After Registration, Login in the portal.
• Choose Dependent Pension Scheme after Login and fill the following details in Dependent Children Pension Scheme Online Application Form :-
  • Personal Details .
  • Contact Number.
  • Bank Account Details.
• Upload all the required documents.
• Click on Submit Button to Submit the Punjab Dependent Children Pension Scheme Online Application Form..
• Child Development Department Project Officer and District Social Security Officer will scrutinized the application of the Beneficiary .
• Monthly Pension of Rs. 1,500/- per month will be transferred in the bank account of beneficiary after verification.
• Beneficiary can also check the Punjab Dependent Children Pension Scheme Application Status Online.

Offline Application Process

• Eligible Beneficiary can also apply through Offline Application Form of Punjab Dependent Children Pension Scheme.
• Offline Application Form of Punjab Dependent Children Pension Scheme is available at any of the following Offices/ Centres :-
  • Angandwadi Centre.
  • Office of Child Development Project Officers .
  • SDM Office.
  • Panchayat and B.D.P.O Office.
  • Sewa Kendra.
• Collect the Application Form and fill it.
• Attach all the required document with the application form.
• Submit the Application Form of Punjab Dependent Children Pension Scheme along with all the document in same office from where the Application Form was collected.
• Received Application Form and Documents will be verified by Social Security and Women & Child Development Department of Punjab Government.
• After Verification, Selected Beneficiary will get Monthly Pension of Rs. 1,500/- per Month in their given bank account .
