Telangana Shaadi Mubarak Scheme

Introduction

• Shaadi Mubarak Scheme is a financial assistance scheme of Telangana Government for marriage.
• Telangana Shaadi Mubarak Scheme was launched by Chief Minister Sh. Kalvakunta Chandrashekar Rao on 2nd October 2014.
• The main objective behind launching this scheme is to provide financial support to poor families of Telangana for the marriage of their daughter.
• In the initial phase of Shaadi Mubarak Scheme, the financial assistance was Rs. 51,000/-.
• But in 2017, the amount was revised and it was increased to Rs. 75,116/-.
• Then in the year 2018, the amount of financial assistance for marriage under Telangana Shaadi Mubarak Scheme was again amended.
• Now the present amount given to brides under Telangana Shaadi Mubarak Scheme as a financial assistance for their marriage is Rs. 1,00,116/-.
• Financial Assistance for marriage in Shaadi Mubarak Scheme of Telangana Government is only for the girls bride belonging to six notified minority community.
• The six notified minority community which are eligible under Shaadi Mubarak Scheme of Government of Telangana are :-
  • Muslims.
  • Sikhs.
  • Christians.
  • Parsis.
  • Jains.
  • Buddhist.
• Those families whose annual income is more than Rs. 2,00,000/- per year are eligible to avail the benefit of financial assistance for marriage under Shaadi Mubarak Scheme of Government of Telangana.
• Financial Assistance for marriage will be provided in the name of bride's mother.
• Eligible Beneficiaries can apply for Financial Assistance for Marriage by filling Online Application Form of Shaadi Mubarak Scheme.

Amount of Assistance

• The following financial assistance for marriage will be provided to all eligible beneficiaries under Telangana Shaadi Mubarak Scheme :-
  • Financial assistance of Rs. 1,00,116/- (One Lakh One Hundred Sixteen Rupees).

Eligibility

• Girl should be a resident of Telangana State.
• Girl should be above 18 years of Age.
• Girl should be belong to any one of the minority community :-
  • Muslims.
  • Sikhs.
  • Christians.
  • Parsis.
  • Jains.
  • Buddhist.
• The Annual Family Income of the Girl should not be more than Rs. 2,00,000/-.

• The below mentioned documents is needed at the time of applying for financial assistance for marriage under Shaadi Mubarak Scheme of Telangana Government :-
  • Bride's Photo.
  • Bride's Age Proof Certificate.
  • Bride's Scanned Aadhaar Card Copy.
  • Bride Mother's Scanned Aadhaar Card Copy.
  • Bridegroom's Scanned Aadhaar Card Copy.
  • Bride's Mother Scanned Bank Passbook.
  • Bride's Scanned Bank Passbook.
  • Income Certificate.

How to Apply

• Eligible Beneficiaries can apply for financial assistance for marriage under Telangana Shaadi Mubarak Scheme through Online Application Form.
• Online Application Form of Telangana Shaadi Mubarak Scheme is available on ePASS Portal of Telangana Government.
• Click on New Registration.
• After that Fill the below mentioned details in Registration Form of Telangana Shaadi Mubarak Scheme :-

  Bride Particulars	Whether SSC/ Equivalent Details Available. Name of the Bride. Name of the Father. Date of Birth. Aadhar Number. Educational Qualification. Phone Number. Caste. Sub-Caste. Is an Orphan (YES or NO). Mother's Name. Mother's Aadhaar Number. Is Disabled (YES or NO).

• Fill the Captcha and click on submit button to submit the Application Form of Telangana Shaadi Mubarak Scheme.
• Submitted Application will be verified by the concerned officials.
• After verification, the cheque will be given in the name of the mother by welfare officer for encashment.

Features of the Scheme

• Tehsildar reserves the right to verify all the applications received.
• Tehsildar will allot the received applications to the Village Revenue Officer for initial verification.
• It is the duty of the Village Revenue Officer to conduct the field inquiry.
• The Village Revenue Officer will check the eligibility of the beneficiary for Telangana Shaadi Mubarak Scheme with specific reference to the following :-
  • Location/ Address.
  • Eligible Income Criteria should be less Rs. 2.00 lakh.
  • Aadhaar Card Details.
  • Caste Certificate.
  • Parental Income/ Working or not Working.
  • Status of the beneficiary if already married earlier. This needs to be acquainted from the local residents/ neighbours in the area.
  • Bank Account Number with IFSC Code.
  • Date of Birth Certificate.
• After verifying all the details, the Village Revenue Officer will forward the application to the concerned Tehsildar by uploading his comments.
• Then Tehsildar will upload his remark and approve the application with digital sign and biometric.
• The application will be jointly sign by the MLA concerned.
• After signing, the signed copy will be uploaded on the online system for clearance of cheques.
• The cheque for financial assistance will be drawn only in the name of the mother of the beneficiary.
