Scheme Introduction: A Brief Overview

• The Gruha Lakshmi Scheme is one of the flagship, women centric schemes of the Karnataka government.
• This scheme was announced by the Congress party during the assembly election, with a promise to implement it upon forming the government.
• After securing their win, the newly formed Congress government officially launched the scheme on August 30, 2023, in the presence of Sh. Rahul Gandhi.
• In recent times, Gruha Lakshmi Scheme has become one of the major social welfare program of Karnataka.
• Under this Scheme, the Government is providing monthly financial assistance of Rs. 2,000/- to every women head household in Karnataka.
• The main objective behind launching Karnataka Gruha Lakshmi Scheme is to ensure financial security for women heads of every households.
• The scheme is also known by other names such as "Karnataka Financial Assistance Scheme for Women" or "Karnataka Griha Lakshmi Scheme".
• Beneficiary women can use the assistance amount to take care of their daily care expenses.
• Only domiciled women of Karnataka are eligible under the Gruha Lakshmi Scheme.
• The benefit of Gruha Lakshmi Scheme will be provided to the following categories of women : -

• The State government has released the dedicated guidelines of the Gruha Lakshmi Scheme.
• Offline Registration of Karnataka Gruha Lakshmi Scheme commenced from July 19, 2023.
• To submit the Gruha Lakshmi Scheme application offline, beneficiaries women need to visit any following centres : -
  • Karnataka One.
  • Bengaluru One.
  • Grama One.
  • Bapuji Seva Kendras.
• Women can collect the Gruha Lakshmi Application form free of cost from these centres or they can also Download it from Here.
• Women need to fill the obtained application form carefully and submit it to the in charge of these centres.
• After scrutinization, financial assistance will be transferred in the bank account of beneficiary women.
• Women beneficiaries can also submit their Gruha Lakshmi Scheme applications online through Seva Sindhu Portal.
• In case of any assistance regarding Gruha Lakshmi Scheme, beneficiaries can dial 1902 or send their Ration Card Number on : - 08147500500 or 08277000555.
• As of now, a total of 1,25,10,255 Women Heads of House is registered and receiving Rs. 2,000/- per month under Karnataka Gruha Lakshmi Scheme.

Scheme Benefits

• The following benefits will be provided to eligible women beneficiaries under Karnataka Gruha Lakshmi Scheme : -
  • Monthly Financial Assistance of Rs. 2,000/-.
  • The assistance amount will be credited to beneficiaries Aadhaar linked bank account.

• Aadhar Number is mandatory at the time of using the mobile app.
• Enter the Aadhar Number of Women Beneficiary and verify it with OTP.
  
• After OTP verification, DBT Karnataka App will automatically fetch the details of women beneficiaries.
• For easy access to the app, create mPIN.
• Then select Women Beneficiaries Name and enter mPIN to Login.
  
• Select Payment Status from Screen.
  
• Choose Gruha Lakshmi Scheme.
  
• Then DBT Status of Gruha Lakshmi Scheme of Karnataka Government will come on screen.
• Beneficiary Women can Contact any of the below mentioned numbers or emails in case she needs any help regarding Gruha Lakshmi Scheme DBT Status.

How to Check the Gruha Lakshmi Scheme RC Schedule

• After Clicking on it the Date, Time and Place will appear on which beneficiary has to go and register herself under Karnataka Gruha Lakshmi Scheme.
  
• Beneficiaries can visit the Center on the allotted Date and Time and get herself Registered for Financial Assistance under Gruha Lakshmi Scheme of Karnataka Government.

Eligibility Requirements

• Only those women are eligible to get monthly assistance of Rs. 2,000/- under the Gruha Lakshmi Scheme who fulfil the following eligibility criteria :-

  Applicant must be a Permanent Resident of Karnataka. Applicant must be a Women and Head of Household. Applicants must possess any of the below mentioned cards : - Antyodaya Card. BPL Card. APL Card. Only the Following Women are Eligible under Karnataka Gruha Lakshmi Scheme :- Married Women. Divorced Women. Destitute Women.

Ineligibility Requirements

  • If the Husband of a Women Beneficiary is an Income Tax Payer.
  • If the Head of the Family is a GST Return Filer.

Offline Application Process

• The offline registration for Gruha Lakshmi Scheme is started by the Government of Karnataka.
