Andhra Pradesh Jagananna Videshi Vidya Deevena Scheme

Introduction

• Jagananna Videshi Vidya Deevena Scheme is the flagship scheme of the Andhra Pradesh Government.
• It was started for the welfare of students who want to pursue their higher studies from abroad.
• The main aim behind launching this to encourage students to pursue their higher studies from worlds best education institutions.
• Andhra Pradesh's Department of Social Welfare is the nodal department of this Jagananna Videshi Vidya Deevena Scheme.
• Under Jagananna Videshi Vidya Deevena Scheme, Government of Andhra Pradesh will bear the tution fees of those students who got admission in worlds top 200 universities.
• The financial assistance to student will be provided through following ways :-
  • 100 % Tution Fees will be paid by the Government if Student got admission in top 100 Universities of the World.
  • 50 % Tution Fees or Rs. 50 Lakh (whichever is less) will be paid by the Government if Student got admission in top 101 to 200 Universities of the World.
• Only students belonging to SC, ST, BC, EBC including Kapu and Minority category are eligible under Jagananna Videshi Vidya Deevna Scheme.
• Only top 200 universities in the world with QS rank are eligible to take admission.
• Scholarship Amount will be paid to students in four instalments.
• The financial assistance will be given to only those candidates who are willing to pursue Post Graduation Course, Ph.D Course and MBBS Course from Foreign Universities.
• Student can apply for Jagananna Videshi Vidya Deevena Scheme through JnanBhumi Portal of Andhra Pradesh Government.

Eligibility

• Student should be a resident of Andhra Pradesh.
• Maximum Age of the Student should be 35 Years.
• Family Income should not be more than Rs. 8 Lakhs per year.
• Student should be belong to any of the below mentioned category :-
  • Schedule Caste.
  • Schedule Tribe.
  • Backward Class.
  • Economically Backward Class.
  • Kapu.
  • Minority.
• Student must have secure below mentioned marks percentage :-
  • 60 % Marks in Graduation for Post Graduate Course.
  • 60 % Marks in Post Graduation for Ph.D Course.
  • 60 % Marks in Intermediate or Equivalent Examination for MBBS Course.
• Valid Scorecard of below mentioned Exams :-
  • TOEFL.
  • IELTS.
  • GRE.
  • GMAT.

• Caste Certificate.
• Income Certificate.
• Ration Card. (If Available)
• Birth Certificate.
• 10th Class Marksheet/Certificate.
• Aadhar Card.
• Nativity Certificate.
• Last Qualifying Examination Certificate.
• Unconditional Offer Letter from Foreign University.
• NEET Scorecard. (Only for MBBS Student)
• TOEFL/ IELTS/ GRE/ GMAT Scorecard.
• Passport Size Photo.
• Scanned Signature.
• Bank Account Details.
• Self Certification of No Financial Assistance is availing from other sources.

How to Apply

• Applicant has to visit JnanaBhumi Portal to apply for Jagananna Videshi Vidya Deevena Scheme.
• Click on Login and choose Citizen Login.
• Enter your Aadhar Number.
• Portal will send OTP for Aadhar Verification.
• After verification select "Jagananna Videshi Vidya Deevena Scheme" in Citizen Scheme Application Tab.
• Fill the required details and upload the asked document and click on submit.
• Once the application submitted it will forwarded to Welfare and Education Assistant or Ward Welfare and Development Secretary.
• Field verification will be done by the officials and upload their recommendations on the portal.
• Students have to personally appear in front of the State Level Selection Committee.
• After that the list of eligible and ineligible students will be in all secretariats.
• Course fee will be transferred through Aadhar Enabled Payment System in the bank account through Installements.

Features of the Scheme

• Only one student per family are eligible under Andhra Pradesh Jagananna Videshi Vidya Deevena Scheme.
• Those students who failed to appear before the State Level Selection Committee are not considered for selection.
• For PG Courses, the Financial Assistance will be provided in four instalments :-
  • 1st Installment will be paid upon production of Landing Permit or Immigration Card.
  • 2nd Installment will be paid upon production of 1st semester or term result.
  • 3rd Installment will be paid upon production of 2nd semester or term result.
  • 4th Installment will be paid after successful completion of 4th semester.
• Student has to clear TOEFL, IELTS, GRE, GMAT Examination.
