Himachal Pradesh Beti Hai Anmol Yojana

Introduction

• Beti Hai Anmol is the prominent scheme of Himachal Pradesh Government.
• It was launched on July 2010.
• This scheme is the welfare scheme to provide financial assistance to girl childs.
• The scheme is for girls of BPL Families.
• Up to two girls in a family. the department will deposit rupees 21,000/- per girl child to post office or bank account.
• The motive is to make girl self reliant for necessary financial assistance and education .
• The annual scholarship will also be provided ranging from Rs 450/- to 5000/- per year from Class 1st to Graduation for book/dresses etc.

Objective

• To stop child marriage of girls.
• Admission in schools and to continue the study of girls.
• Assistance to girls for taking up income generating activities.
• Empowering girls and making them self-reliant.
• Financial support to the girls of Himachal Pradesh.
• As will they can study through scholarship which provide for dress or books.

Eligibility Criteria

• Residents of Himachal Pradesh.
• Family should belong to Below Poverty Line.
• Beneficiary girl should not get married before completing 18 years.
• The girl who was born after July 5, 2010 will get benefit of this scheme.

• BPL Certificate.
• Birth Certificate.
• Identity Proof.
• Resident Proof of Himachal.
• Bank Passbook.
• Income certificate.

Amount of Assistance

• The following financial assistance will be provided under Himachal Pradesh Beti Hai Anmol Yojana :-

  Statge	Amount
  At Birth Time	Rs. 21,000/- (FD)
  From Class 1st to Class 3rd	Rs. 450/- per Year.
  In Class 4th	Rs. 750/- per Year.
  From Class 6th to Class 7th	Rs. 1,050/- per Year.
  Class 8th	Rs. 1,200/- per Year.
  From Class 9th to Class 10th	Rs. 1,500/- per Year.
  From Class 11th to Class 12th	Rs. 2,250/- per Year.
  In Graduation	Rs. 5,000/- per Year.

How to Apply

• Applicant can apply online through Online registration form.
• After filling the form submit it to the Anganwadi worker for further action.
• The Anganwadi worker will open account in post office or in bank .
• On completion of 18 years, the entire amount will be paid to the girl child.
• To get scholarship. After admission .
• An application will be written by the parents to the school head master.
• Headmaster will give it to the project officer of Beti Hai Anmol Scheme.
• It will be passed by the project officer.
• After the implementation of the scheme, the girl child will get 10th benefit .
• In 11th and 12th she will get Rs 500/- party year.

Features of the Scheme

• Scholarship will be given for each class during the education of the girl.
• If the girl gets married before she 18, the entire amount will go to the government.
• On the death of the girl , the whole amount will go to the government.
• The amount can given in cash to the girl according to the written request of her parents.
