Telangana 2BHK Housing Scheme

Introduction

• 2BHK Housing Programme or 2BHK Housing Scheme is one of the important scheme of Telangana Government for the homeless poor people.
• It was started in the month of October 2015.
• This scheme is also called "Telangana 2BHK Housing Programme" or "Telangana Housing Scheme".
• The main objective behind starting this scheme is to provide free of cost house to homeless and poor people of Telangana State.
• Telangana State Housing Corporation Limited is the nodal agency of this scheme.
• In this scheme, a well constructed 2 Bedroom, Hall, Kitchen house will be provided by the Government of Telangana to the poor and homeless people of the State.
• All the people who are living in Huts, Katcha Houses or in a Rented Houses are eligible to avail the benefit of this scheme.
• These houses will be given free of cost, the beneficiary does not need to take loan or contribute any amount.
• It is a fully Telangana Government funded subsidised scheme.
• Initially it has been decided by the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation to construct 2.80 lakh houses in the State.
• Families belongs to Schedule Caste, Schedule Tribe and Minority Category are eligible under Telangana 2BHK Housing Scheme.
• Having a Food Security Card is mandatory at the time of apply.
• Eligible Beneficiary can apply for free of cost house under Telangana 2BHK Housing Scheme through Offline Application Form.
• Application Form of Telangana 2BHK Housing Scheme is available free of cost at any Gram Sabha or Municipal Corporation Office.

• Government of Telangana will provided the following benefits to all eligible beneficiaries under Telangana 2BHK Housing Scheme :-
  • Free of Cost Constructed House will be Provided.
  • Constructed House consists 2 Bedroom, 1 Hall, 1 Kitchen.

Eligibility Criteria

• BPL Families are Eligible to Get 2BHK House under this Scheme.
• Beneficiary Families should have Food Security Card.
• All Families are Eligible for 2BHK House who are living in any below mentioned type of houses :-
  • Huts.
  • Katcha Houses.
  • Rented Houses.
• Beneficiary Families should be belong to any of the below mentioned caste/ categories :-
  • Schedule Caste (SC).
  • Schedule Tribe (ST).
  • Minorities.

• Below mentioned documents is needed at the time of applying for 2 Bedroom House under Telangana 2BHK Housing Scheme :-
  • Residence Proof of Telangana.
  • Food Security Card.
  • Voter ID Card.
  • Aadhar Card.
  • Caste Certificate.
  • Mobile Number.
  • Income Certificate.
  • Disability Certificate. (In case of Disability)
  • Ex-servicemen Card. (In case of Ex-Servicemen)
  • Bank Account Details.

Allocation Percentage of Houses

• The constructed houses under Telangana 2BHK Housing Scheme will allotted to the eligible families in the following percentage :-

How to Apply

• Eligible Beneficiaries can apply for 2 BHK Housing Scheme of Telangana Government through Application Form.
• Application Form of Telangana 2 BHK Housing Scheme is available in Gram Sabha/ Municipal Corporation Office.
• Collect the Telangana 2 BHK Housing Scheme Application Form and Fill it Correctly.
• The preliminary scrutiny of the applications received will be done by the Gram Sabha Officer/ Municipal Corporation Officers.
• Then the Applications of Telangana 2 Bedroom Housing Scheme will be forwarded to Tehsildar for thorough verification.
• The list of all eligible and selected beneficiaries of 2BHk Housing Scheme will then sent to the District Collector after thorough scrutiny by the Tehsildar.
• The list of verified families of Telangana 2BHK Housing Scheme will again be placed in the Municipal Corporation/ Gram Sabha Office for final approval as per the schedule.
• After the list is verified by the Gram Sabha, the District Collector will approved the list and the final list of 2BHK Housing Scheme of Telangana will be made available to the public.
• As the houses get built, they will be allotted to the eligible families in the list.
• The villages and the beneficiary will be selected by the District Level Committee.

Features of the Scheme

• The plot area in which the house is going to built will be of 125 Square Yards.
• The constructed area after construction will be 560 Square Feet.
• The total cost of construction with infrastructure in Rural Area is Rs. 6,29,000/- and in Urban Area is :- 6,05,000/-.
• Infrastructure under Telangana 2BHK Housing Scheme includes :-
  • Water Supply.
  • Electricity.
  • Approach and Internal Roads.
  • Drains.
  • Sewage.
• Any complaints regarding the beneficiary selection process in Telangana 2BHK Housing Scheme will be entertained by the District Level Officer nominated by the District Collector.
