Introduction

• Mukhya Mantri Vivah Shagun Yojna is a financial assistance scheme of Government of Haryana.
• It is operated and administered by Welfare and Schedule Caste & Backward Classes Department of Haryana.
• Its main objective is to provide monetary assistance for the marriage of the girl.
• This scheme has been implemented to ensure that the girls from poor families and daughters of widows/destitute women, sports women and orphan girl can easily manage the expenses incurred at the time of marriage.
• The amount of assistance under this scheme is payable according to the category of the beneficiary.
• An amount of Rs. 51,000/- will be provided on the marriage of daughter of Widow/Divorced/Destitute Women.
• Rs. 51,000/- will be provided for the marriage of Orphan and Destitute Children.
• The communities belongs to SC/DT/Tapriwas will be provided the highest assistance of Rs. 71,000/-.
• Sports women of Haryana and all BPL card holders except Schedule Caste will be given an assistance of Rs. 31,000/- for marriage.
• Rs. 51,000/- marriage assistance will be provided to all categories of families whose family income is less than Rs. 1,80,000/-.
• In mass marriages, the financial assistance is Rs. 51,000/-
• If both the married couple are disabled then Rs. 51,000/- will be provide for their marriage.
• If one spouse is disabled then the assistance amount is Rs. 31,000/-.
• Rs. 1100/- and a sweet box will also be given as an assistance to the couples not covered under the provisions of this scheme if they register their marriage within 30 days.

Eligibility

• Residents of Haryana.
• Bride and Groom should not below the age of 18 years and 21 years respectively.
• Family income should not exceed to Rs. 1 Lakh per annum.
• Only two girls per family can avail the benefit of the scheme.
• Daughter of Widow or Divorced or Destitute Women.
• SC/DT/Tapriwas Communities living below poverty line.
• Sports Women of Haryana.
• All BPL card holders except Schedule Caste.
• All sections of families having family income of less than Rs. 1,80,000/- per year.
• Mass Marriages.
• Disabled/Specially Challenged Persons.

Amount of Shagun

Sports woman (Any caste/any income)	Rs. 31,000/- will paid on or before marriage.
All BPL card holders other than Schedule Caste	Rs.31,000/- will be paid on or before marriage.
All section's families (including SC/BC) having family income less than Rs. 1,80,000/- per annum	Amount paid on or before marriage = Rs. 28,000/-
	Amount paid within 6 months on submission of marriage certificate = Rs. 3,000/-
	Total = Rs. 31,000/-
Mass Marriage	Amount paid on or before marriage = Rs. 46,000/-
	Amount paid within 6 months on submission of marriage certificate = Rs. 5,000/-
	Total = Rs. 51,000/-
Divyangjan	If both the newly married couple are disabled	Rs. 51,000/- will be paid after marriage takes place.
	If one spouse is disabled in the newly married couple	Rs. 31,000/- will be paid after marriage takes place.

How to Apply

Online Mode

First go to Antyodaya Portal of Government of Haryana. Beneficiary have to Register himself/herself on the portal. Fill the required details i.e. Full Name Email Id Mobile Number Password (Choosen by the beneficiary). State Fill the Captcha Code Click on Submit Button. An OTP is sent to your Mobile Number and Email Id, Fill the OTP and Click on Validate. Go to Log in Portal and fill Login ID and Password. After successful log in go to apply for Services and Select Mukhya Mantri Vivah Shagun Yojna. Fill all the required details and submit the application. Application will be scrutinized by the District Welfare Officers. If found eligible, the amount of assistance will directly transferred to the beneficiary bank account.

Offline Mode

Fill the Application form Attach the required documents Submit it to the office of District Welfare Officer Application will be scrutinized. If found eligible, assistance will be transferred to the beneficiaries bank account.

Features of the Scheme

• The financial assistance is only available two girl child in a family.
• Beneficiaries can submit their applications before marriage within a maximum period of 60 days.
• Applicant can also apply during the period of 3 months from the date of marriage ceremony.
• If assistance is requested before 2 months of marriage, then the application will be submitted to the District Welfare Officer.
• If assistance is sought within 3 months of the marriage, the application shall be submitted to the Director, Headquarters.
• No application will be accepted after 3 months of the marriage.
• Beneficiary will mention the circumstances/reasons due to which he/she was not able to submit applications on or before the date of marriage ceremony.
• The approval of the Director, Welfare of Schedule Castes and Backward Classes Department, Haryana is needed to sanction the Shagun amount to the applications who submit their applications during the period of 3 months after the date of marriage ceremony.
• Those who apply at least 15 days before the date of marriage celebration, the amount of Shagun will be transferred in their bank accounts on or before the date of celebration of marriage.
• The application will be disposed of and the amount will be disbursed within 30 days.
