Scheme Introduction : A Brief Overview

• Haryana's newly elected government announced various schemes during the state assembly elections.
• One of these schemes is for college going students, called as "Haryana Avval Balika Yojana".
• The scheme aims to provide scooty (scooters) to all girl students attending college.
• Girls often face challenges commuting between home and college.
• As colleges in rural regions are located at distant places, making it difficult for girls to commute without any personal conveyance.
• In several instances, girls often left their higher education because daily commuting without any conveyance is not possible.
• Seeking this, the Haryana government promised that if they wins the election and form the next government, they would provide scooty to these students.
• Despite the free transport benefits under the "Antyodaya Parivar Parivahan Yojana", there is still a room for improvement, which this scheme fulfils.
• After winning the election convincingly, the BJP is now ready to implement the Avval Balika Yojana for its beneficiaries.
• It is expected that the scooty under the 'Haryana Avval Balika Yojana' will be provided free of cost, and students will not be required to pay any fees.
• However, the detailed information about the scheme will be shared upon its implementation.
• Students who fulfil the criteria outlined in the scheme guidelines will be able to receive scooty under the Avval Balika Yojana.
• The scheme announced can also be known by other names; such as "Haryana Free Scooty Scheme", or "Haryana Free Scooty For Girls", or Haryana Avval Balika Scheme".
• As of now, we don't have many details about the scheme except the scheme will specifically for the college going girls from rural areas.

Scheme Benefits

• Under the Haryana Avval Balika Yojana, eligible applicants will receive the following benefits : -
  • Scooty to all college girl students.
  • Scooty will be provided to girls of rural region only.

Eligibility Requirement

• To be eligible for the benefits of Haryana Avval Balika Yojana, applicants must adhere with the following eligibility criteria : -
  
  • Beneficiary must be a girl.
  • Beneficiary must be domiciled resident of Haryana.
  • Beneficiary must be studying in a college located in Haryana.
  • Beneficiaries must be from a rural areas.

• Applicants must keep a list of following requisite documents when submitting their applications for Haryana Avval Balika Yojana : -
  • College ID Card.
  • Aadhaar Card.
  • Domicile Certificate.
  • Address Proof.
  • Family Income Certificate.
  • Mobile Number.
  • Declaration issued from college.
  • Others as notified in the scheme guidelines.

Steps to Apply

• To receive benefits, eligible applicants must submit an application for Haryana Avval Balika Yojana.
• However, the authorities didn't share the application process during the scheme announcement.
• Thus, it is not clear whether the Application form for Haryana Avval Balika Scheme will be invited online or offline.
• In the application process is online, the applicants need to submit their respective applications through a dedicated portal or department website.
• However, it is anticipated that applications for Haryana Avval Balika will be accepted offline.
• For this, the applicants may need to collect the form from their respective institutions.
