Assam Orunodoi Scheme 3.0

Scheme Introduction

• Orunodoi Scheme is a prominent scheme of Government of Assam.
• Orunodoi scheme launch date is 2nd of October 2020.
• It is a scheme run and funded by the Department of Finance, Government of Assam.
• The main objective of this scheme is to make women financially empowered by providing them a monthly assistance.
• Every women is the backbone of her house who takes care of the house well.
• According to the Government, if we make women empowered then that house will automatically be empowered.
• That is why the Orunodoi Scheme was launched by the Assam Government.
• In the initial phase of the orunodoi scheme, the amount of assistance was Rs. 830/-.
• This money will be given to the woman to buy medicines, pulses, sugar, fruits and vegetables.
• But this amount was increased increased in the year 2022 to Rs. 1,000/- by the Government of Assam.
• Now the amount Orunodoi Scheme is again increases to Rs. 1,250/- by the government.
• Government of Assam have a plan to provide monthly assistance of Rs. 3,000/- per month under Orunodoi Scheme in a phased manner.
• It is estimated that more than 37.2 lakh poor families will be benefited by this scheme.
• Till date more than 27 lakh families have received Rs. 1,250/- being given directly into their bank accounts.
• But from september 2024, Government of Assam is going to add 20 lakh beneficiary in Orunodoi Scheme 3.0.
• Orunodoi scheme 3.0 launch date is 7 October 2025.
• Now the total beneficiaries of Orunodoi Scheme will be 47 Lakh.
• It is mandatory to have Ration Card and Aadhar Card from september 2024 in order to avail the benefit of Orunodoi Scheme.
• One Ration has only One Orunodoi Beneficiary.
• Only those families are eligible to avail the benefit of this scheme in which there is at least one female member in the family.
• Existing beneficiaries of Orunodoi Scheme will have to apply afresh in order to avail the benefit of monthly assistance of Rs. 1,250/-.
• Benefits of Orunodoi Scheme can be availed by filling the Application Form which is available free of cost in the office of Gaon Panchayat or Urban Local Body Office.
• Due to some technical difficulties, the Official Website of Orunodoi Scheme is not working anymore.
• Orunodoi beneficiary status can be checked by visiting the Gaon Panchayat Office.
• Orunodoi 3.0 online apply facility is not available.
• Chief Minister of Assam Shri Himanta Biswa Sarma launched Orunodoi Scheme 3.0 in the State in disbursed more than 410 crore in the bank account of more than 38 lakh women beneficiaries.
• Orunodoi Scheme Payment Status can be checked by visiting the RCMS Assam State Portal.

Scheme Benefits

• Government of Assam will provide the following benefits to all eligible beneficiairies under Orunodoi Scheme :-
  • Per Month Financial Assistance will be provided.
  • Rs. 1,250/- per month will be given to Beneficiaries.

Eligible Beneficiaries

• Following Women Beneficiaries are eligible to get Rs. 1,250/- per month under Orunodoi Scheme :-

  Married Women. Widow Women. Unmarried Women. (Age should be 45+) Divorced Women. Deserted Women. Transgender. Disabled/ Divyangjan. (Irespective of Gender) Elderly or Infirm Women. If a Women Famile has Disabled or Elderly Earner. Women suffering from any of the below mentioned disease :- HIV Thalassemia Haemophilia Cerebral Palsy Leprosy Autism Destitute Women. Women withour Shelter or Living on Alms. Women Beneficiary of Antyodaya Anna Yojana. (AAY)

Eligibility Requirements

• Assam Government's Orunodoi Scheme benefit of Rs. 1,250/- per month will only provided to those women beneficiaries who fulfill the following eligibility criteria :-
  • Women Beneficiary should be a Permanent/ Current Resident of Assam.
  • Beneficiary should have a Valid Ration Card seeded with Aadhar.
  • The Age of Women Beneficiary should be more than 18 years.
  • The Age of Unmarried Women Beneficiary should be more that 45 Years.
  • The Family Annual Income of the Women should be less than Rs. 2 Lakh per year.
  • Families should have one Female Member.
  • The Bank Account should be in the Name of Women Applicant.

Ineligibility Criteria

• The people/ category mentioned below are not eligible to avail the benefit of monthly financial assistance of Rs. 1,250/- under Orunodoi Scheme :-

  No Female Member in a Family. Families in which there are Current or Former MP or MLA. Present Member of Panchayati Raj Institutions and Urban Local Bodies or Town Committee. All Serving, Retired Officers and Employees of :- Central Government Ministries, Offices, and Departments. State Government Ministries, Offices, and Departments. Central and State Public Sector Enterprises (PSEs). Central and State Attached Offices. Government Controlled Autonomous Institutions. Employees of Local Bodies. Employees of Public Sector Undertakings. Anganwadi Worker, Asha Worker, Mid Day Meal Worker, Asha Supervisor and Gaon Pradhan. If a Family has any of the below mentioned professionals :- Doctors. Chartered Accountants. Engineers. Architects. Bankers. Teeachers. Registered Government Contractors. Lawyers. Income Tax Payee Businessmen, Industriablists, Real Estate Builders, Shopkeepers Farmers who have more than 15 Bighas of Land. Owners of Motorized Four Wheeler.

Priority Households

• Preference under Orunodoi Scheme will be given to those families who has :-

  Widows. Divorced Female. Unmarried Female. Separated Females. Any Specially Able Member in the Family. Priorities will be given to poor families whether they covered under National Food Security Act or Not.

  • Ration Card.
  • AAY Card. (If Applicable)
  • BPL Card. (If Applicable).

  • Disability Certificate. (If Applicable).

Steps to Apply

• Beneficiary Women can apply for monthly financial assistance under Assam Government's Orunodoi Scheme by filling Application Form.
• Collect the Application Form of Orunodoi Scheme from any of the below mentioned offices :-
  • Gram Panchayat.
  • Village Council Development Committe.
  • Urban Local Body.
  • DC Office.
• Orundoi Scheme Application Form is free of cost, no amount of money will be charged from beneficiary.
• Beneficiary will have to fill the following information in the Application Form :-

  • ULB Name/ Block Name.
  • Town Name/ Gram Panchayat Name.
  • Ward Number/ Village Number.
  • Locality in Town.
  • Full Name of Beneficiary.
  • Gender.
  • Age.
  • House Number.
  • Locality.
  • Name of Police Station.
  • Pin Code.
  • Mobile Number.
• Details of the Family Members :-
  • Name.
  • Age.
  • Gender.
  • Relationship Status.
  • Priority Status :- D - Divorced, S - Separated, W - Widow, DY - Divyang.
• Details of the Bank Account :-
  • Bank Name.
  • Bank Account Number.
  • IFSC Code.
  • Bank Branch Name.
  • Annual Family Income.
• Documents to be Attached with Application Form :-
  • Bank Passbook First Page. (Yes or No).
  • Priority Supporting Documents. (Yes or No).
  • Any Other Document. (Yes or No).
• The duly filled Application Form of Orunodoi Scheme by the beneficiary will be submitted at the same office from where the form was collected.
• After submission of the application form, an acknowledgement slip will be given to the beneficiary by the Urban Local Body or Gram Panchayat Office.
• After preliminary verification, list of women selected for orunodoi benefit will be made.
• On 10th of every month, beneficiary women will receive the financial assistance of Rs. 1,250/- under Orunodoi Scheme of Government of Assam.
• It is to hereby informed that Orunodoi Scheme Portal is not working.
• Applicant cannot apply for Orunodoi Scheme Online.
• So there is no facility available for Women Beneficiary to check the Application Status of Orunodoi Scheme.
